Indonesia Passport Photo Size — You Don't Bring One
You do not bring a photo. Indonesia passport photo rules taken from the government source, with the date we checked it.
An immigration officer photographs you at the Kantor Imigrasi (pengambilan foto dan sidik jari). Their backdrop is white.
What other sites get wrong
Each of these is repeated across commercial photo sites. We checked the authority's own page and could not confirm any of them.
“An Indonesian passport photo is 3 × 4 cm or 4 × 6 cm.”
No page on imigrasi.go.id states any size. We swept the whole domain through the Wayback index and found no specification page at all. Those figures come from embassy paperwork abroad, generalised into a national rule that does not exist.
What gets a Indonesia photo rejected
Every line below is the authority's own wording. These are the reasons applications actually come back — more often than a wrong measurement.
- Tidak memakai kacamata — no glasses; staff will ask you to take them off
- Tidak memakai topi atau penutup kepala (kecuali alasan keagamaan/medis) — no hat or head covering except for religious or medical reasons
- Tidak mengenakan pakaian berwarna putih — do not wear white; the backdrop is white and you will blend into it
- Penggunaan softlens juga tidak diperkenankan karena dapat mengubah profil mata — no coloured contact lenses

Which route applies to you

There is no printed specification for this route, and none is missing from our data — the authority does not publish one, because you never supply a photo.

not verified: a head-office size rule — we swept the whole domain and there is none · whether the M-Paspor app ever asks for a face photo
