What other sites get wrong

Each of these is repeated across commercial photo sites. We checked the authority's own page and could not confirm any of them.

“The upload must be under 20 KB.”

The portal states 5 MB. The popular figure is not just wrong, it is inverted.

“The head must be 32–36 mm.”

The only government figure is 29–34 mm, and it exists solely inside a diagram image — which is why text-scraping sites never got it.

What gets a Pakistan photo rejected

Every line below is the authority's own wording. These are the reasons applications actually come back — more often than a wrong measurement.

Not be more than 6-months old

Can you just use the ICAO standard?

No. The rule is given in millimetres (29–34 mm), not as an ICAO ratio. Deriving the head size from ICAO can land outside the accepted range.

What size is a Pakistan passport photo?

35 × 45 mm applies only to one track (online). For the ordinary route, you do not bring a photo.

Why do official pages give different answers?

They genuinely disagree. On head height: DGI&P dimension diagram says “29–34 mm”; DGI&P official photograph guide (PDF) says “70–80% of the photograph”. On background: e-Services photo requirements page says “plain white background”; the same guide, page 2 says “plain light-colored background”. We show both rather than picking one.
